Terms of Service

By accessing or using Grimoire ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

Grimoire is a web-based campaign management tool for tabletop role-playing games. The Service provides databases, wiki pages, knowledge graphs, and AI integration features to help game masters organize and run their campaigns.

To use Grimoire, you must create an account using a supported OAuth provider (Google, Discord, or GitHub). You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Grimoire offers free and paid subscription tiers:

• Free: Limited capacity (1 campaign, 25 entities)
• Pro: Unlimited entities, single campaign
• Pro+: Unlimited entities, multiple campaigns
• Team: Shared access for multiple GMs

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are provided at our discretion.

You retain ownership of all content you create in Grimoire ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring your User Content does not:

• Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
• Contain illegal, harmful, or offensive material
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use automated tools to scrape or collect data
• Share account credentials with unauthorized users
• Resell or redistribute access to the Service

Grimoire provides integration with AI assistants via MCP. When using AI features:

• You are responsible for your own AI service subscription and costs
• AI-generated content is subject to the same content guidelines
• We are not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated responses
• You should review AI outputs before sharing with players

Grimoire, including its design, features, and code, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service without permission.

TTRPG system names, game mechanics, and related content may be trademarks of their respective owners. Grimoire is a fan tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any game publisher.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS.

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, you may lose access to your data. We recommend regular data exports.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of [Your State/Country].
